Solemn High Mass at St. Boniface

On Sunday, June 25, 2000, the Holy Wisdom Latin Mass Community made a pilgrimage to St. Paul's Cathedral in Pittsburgh to earn the Jubilee Indulgence. For the first time in over thirty years, the high altar of St. Paul's Cathedral was used for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the classical Roman rite.

The Mass of the External Solemnity of Corpus Christi was celebrated. The Solemn High Mass was followed by a procession of the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction, and the Te Deum.

If you were among the 1,051 in attendance that day, we hope that these pictures bring back memories; if you were not, we are happy to share this historic event with you.

Below is a gallery of thumbnail images from the pilgrimage.
